About

Orogeny

The name Orogeny refers to the creation of mountains; a process in which tension and movement shape new landscapes change often feels like friction, with different perspectives and interests colliding, much like tectonic plates beneath the earth’s surface. It can seem unsettling, even disruptive.
Yet in that very movement, something powerful emerges: a new landscape, a mountain range. Out of tension and motion, a solid foundation for the future takes shape.
Orogeny accompanies organizations and individuals in this process of orogenesis, moving from tension to form, from movement to structure. Together, we climb toward new heights, the peak of being and potential.
Change does not have to fracture. It can move mountains.

Suzanne Drost

Director
Management Consultant

Suus Drost is the driving force behind Orogeny. An experienced consultant, HR executive, coach, and philosophical practitioner (www.ontdenken.nl), Suus helps organizations and individuals bring movement where patterns have stalled. With over 25 years of international experience in HR, leadership development, consultancy and transformations, she naturally connects strategic clarity with a human touch.

The name Orogeny refers to the creation of mountains; a process in which tension and movement shape new landscapes. For Suus, change mirrors this very process: sometimes uncomfortable and challenging, but always holding the possibility of growth and renewal.

This metaphor resonates deeply with her personal life. As a certified ski and snowboard instructor, she feels at home in the mountains, where she also paraglides and enjoys long hikes. The mountains are her source of freedom, perspective and inspiration.

Though originally from the south of the Netherlands, Suus now lives with her partner Sven by the sea in North Holland, finding balance between enjoying life’s richness and the vast openness of horizon and ocean. She is known for her blend of sharpness and warmth: professionally firm and strategic, yet always attentive to people and never without a sense of joy in the journey.
